Drug Sniffing Dogs don't Work?

This article is pretty astounding. This gist of it is that studies suggest that most drug dogs are picking up on cues from their trainers, and return a huge number of false positives.

  1. This is good skepticism at work. Unchallenged assumptions need to be brought out, especially in areas as fraught as the drug war. While I'm usually pro-prosecutor in most things, this is a definite exception.
